Uni life was quite good. Lots of people nearby with similar interests, fair bit of free time, lots of diversions (concerts, radio, computers, ...) and not a significant drag on my time. There has not been a time since then with less responsibility with all those advantages.
But then, I did all this in advance of social networking which gave me 10-20 extra hours a week to do stuff. The computers were there, you merely had to go to where they sat.
